Marvel's Fantastic Four #66 and #67, 1967 (Origin and First Appearance of Him, Adam Warlock)

Fantastic Four #66 and #67 (Marvel, 1967) "What Lurks Behind the Beehive?" and "When Opens the Cocoon!," both written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Kirby. Approximately a 5.0 for #66 and a 6.0 #67 according to typical comic (CGC style) grading guidelines (see condition section for more details). These comics feature the Fantastic Four team (Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, The Thing, and Human Torch) #66 includes the first appearance of members of the Enclave (Jerome Hamilton, Carlo Zota, Maris Morlak, and Wladyslav Shinski) as antagonists. Fantastic Four #66 includes the first mention of Him (Adam Warlock) and #67, which picks up where #66 leaves off, includes the first full appearance of Him. Dimensions: 10 1/4"h x 6 3/4"w. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

Condition:

Fantastic Four #66 is about a 5.0 on the typical grading scale, the equivalent of a "very good/fine" grade. The comic overall shows signs of wear and has a some minor defects. All text is legible, the illustrations are vibrant, and the pages are off-white. Signs of wear to the cover include creasing and damage along the spine and the minor wear at the edges. There is also some light creasing in the middle of the cover just below, "What Lurks Behind the Beehive." On the reverse side there is some creasing at the upper right along the top of the page, one very small tear along the left edge and another along the bottom edge. All pages (including advertisements) are present and whole.

 

Fantastic Four #67 is about a 6.0 on the typical grading scale, the equivalent of "fine" condition. This comic has been read and shows signs of handling wear, but is still in desirable condition. All text is legible, the illustrations are vibrant, and the pages are off-white. Minor abrasions along the bottom edge of some of the interior pages. Both the front cover and the reverse are in quite good condition with some light creasing along the spine and very minor wear along the edges. At the lower left corner of the front cover and the lower right corner of the reverse there are two small and very light stains, likely cause by water damage. All pages (including advertisements) are present and whole.
