Hair Brush & Brilliantine Used By President John F. Kennedy Before 1960 Debate

Senator John F. Kennedy's hair brush and brilliantine used prior to the October 21, 1960 (New York) debate with Richard Nixon, one of four presidential debates prior to the election. These items were inadvertently left in the ABC Studio/debate prep area. Virginia Warren-Daly, wife of ABC new commentator John Charles Daly, and daughter of Chief Justice Earl Warren, was asked if she would mind taking the items back to Washington D.C. and a Kennedy staff person would contact her at her home for pick-up. The envelope which was used t0 house the items was never called for and ultimately ended up in a basement storage until 1994 when it was re-discovered. It was given to Robert Warren by his sister Virginia where it has been a part of a larger political memorabilia collection. Wooden box with two (2) JFK button and one Nixon button. Kennedy Nixon, "The Great Debates 1960" double album set is also included as well as original manilla envelope they were kept in for decades. Also included is an original photograph of Daly with Kennedy at rehearsal for Kennedy/Nixon debate from 1960.
