WWI German Photos, some in Combat

A very nice grouping of WWI German photos, some portraits, and some combat photos, including a German anti-aircraft machine gunner in the early part of the War. There is a very handsome cabinet card photo of an officer in feldgrau with covered spiked helmet and cavalry saber, also a very large photo of two brothers who died in the war, inscribed by their brother who survived and moved to California. One of the brothers has both 1 st and 2 nd class Iron Crosses. One photo is of a Prussian Uhlan officer, taken in New Jersey! There are 8 combat photo, as well as 3 photos of heavy guns being rolled out of the Krupp factory, 13 photos in all.  Dimensions: The largest image is 10 by 8 inches. The others are standard sized cabinet cards and one postcard. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

  

 

Condition:

Most are excellent. The officer in feldgrau image has minor marks around the edge. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
