US Model 1913 Patton Officer’s Saber & Scabbard

This is an exceptionally nice US “Patton” Sword and scabbard, model of 1913, with chrome plated hilt, blade, and Garrison scabbard. It is dated 1919, and has LF & C (Landers, Frary, and Clark) with a flaming bomb over the date, and US on the other side of the ricasso. The grip remains the generally issued black plastic, but all of the metal parts have been chromed, and the heavy canvas, wood and steel scabbard replaced with a more elegant chromed metal one. This was a post-WWI modification for officer on garrison duty, so the scabbard is commonly referred to as the “Garrison scabbard.” Dimensions: 43 inches long overall, with the blade being 35 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
