US 1840 NCO, New Jersey Marked by Horstmann

A very interesting New Jersey marked 1840 NCO sword with the keystone mark associated with Emerson & Silver, and a Horstmann mark, both on the ricasso. The reverse guard is cast in a down-turned position, and there are very deep letters “N.J.” struck into the guard directly above that. The blade is generally clean and bright. The scabbard is a modern replacement. Dimensions: The sword is 38.25 inches long overall. The blade is 32 inches long. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

 

 

 

Condition:

Very good plus condition overall, with a nice, clean and bright blade with a few minor stains.
