Triple Armed Union Soldier Sixth Plate Tintype

A terrific image of a Union private armed with a sword, a bowie knife, and an 1816 musket, wearing a forage cap and a shell jacket, possibly a New York shell as it has epaulets. The sword appears to be a militia NCO sword. He is wearing an oval waist belt plate and his cap box and bayonet frog are visible on his belt. The image is housed in a half leatherette case and has an ornate gold matte.  Dimensions: 3 1/8 by 3 ½ inches in the case. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

The image has a bend in the lower left hand corner, but remains quite clear. Although there are also some minor scrapes in the field of the upper right.
