Soldiers with Sharps Derringers Quarter Plate Tintype

Two Union soldiers in frock coats, both holding small pistols, probably Sharps derringers, identified inside the case as “Dad and Uncle Bill Jones.” They are pointing the guns at each other. The taller man is wearing a slouch hat, and has a haversack strap visible. The image is in a leatherette half case. Dimensions: 3.75 by 4.75 in the half case. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

very good condition, but somewhat dark. Their brass buttons are just barely visible. Mr. Buxtun scotch taped a note to the glass identifying the pistols, along with a small label saying that the image is identified inside. The leatherette case is slightly scuffed on the edges. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
