Six Civil War or Related Cabinet Card and Albumen Print Photos

A very interesting grouping of images, including a young officer casualty, a memorial photo of a Colonel, two armed enlisted men, and a military review. The young officer is in civilian clothes but is identified as Lieut. Andrew D, Cash, Jr. of the 18th Pennsylvania Volunteers who died 24 March, 1862. There is also a memorial photo as a cabinet card of Henry C. Gilbert, Colonel of the 19th Michigan Volunteers, who died of wounds received at the Battle of Resaca in 1864. The image is black bordered and inscribed, “Lamented Col. H.C. Gilbert.” Gilbert was a significant political and social figure in pre-War Michigan. The third image is of Colonel William Chapman, USMA, who served from 1827 to 1867, was wounded in the Mexican-American War, and served in the Army of the Potomac in 1861-1862. The 4th and 5th images are of enlisted men, both in frock coats and forage caps, both with bayonetted muskets, and one with a saber. One image was made by S.H. Logan of Fargo, South Dakota, and the other is by Lease of Lancaster, PA., and the subject is identified on the reverse as John Lee, who served in the Mexican War and Civil War in the 22nd Pennsylvania Volunteers. He died in 1892. The last image is a lithograph of a Grand Review. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $35.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
