Pre-Civil War Officer with 1850 Staff & Field Officer’s Sword Sixth Plate Daguerreotype

An exceptionally nice pre-Civil War daguerreotype of an officer holding his high grade 1850 staff and field officer’s sword. He has brush epaulettes and a high collar coatee with a wing collar. The image is in a thermoplastic frame.

Condition: Extremely good condition. There is a dark spot on the image at about 2:00 near the officer’s head. The frame is excellent.

Size: The image is 2 ¾ by 3 ¼ inches. The frame is 4 ½ by 5 inches.

Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
