Pre-Civil War Daguerreotype of Artilleryman with Mississippi Rifle

A handsome image of a pre-Civil War American artilleryman with a tall plumed shako next to him. He is holding what looks to be a Mississippi Rifle with one hand. His uniform is very similar to a chasseur uniform, His shako appears to have the letters “LA” on it. ’The image is 2 7/8 by 3 1/8, in an open faced thermoplastic case. 

Condition: The image has been cleaned, and scratches are visible on the surface, although the figure remains quite clear. The case has a chip missing from the top edge.

Size: 2 7/8 by 3 1/8 image. The case is 4 ¼ by 4 ¾ inches.

Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
