Peter Vanden Berge (b.1935) ceramic 3 piece sculpture, "The Seamstress".

Dimensions: 32"h; (the base) 22" x 14.5".

Peter Vanden Berge is one of Northern California's important ceramic sculptors. He is known for his large ceramic busts which resemble the Easter Island Heads having elongated features. They are also influenced by Modigliani and Giacometti. His pieces are handbuilt in the coil method with earth tone underglazes and colorful finishes.

This piece is too large for parcel carrier. It can be picked up at our Nevada or Sacramento facility or shipped by qualified white glove and blanket wrapped transporters such as Pack + Ship Pros, Delbert McCrea and CCC Transport. 

Provenance:Candy Store Gallery Folsom, CA Lillian Wade, Sacramento, Ca (1916-2002) then by direct family descent.
