Naval Officer with Sword Quarter Plate Daguerreotype

A young Naval officer, probably an Engineer, holding an apparent 1841 pattern Naval officer’s sword out of its scabbard. The case is leather, book style framed.

Condition: The image is fairly clear, but has been cleaned. There are scouring marks on it, and it is mirrored. The details are still very clearly visible. The case is very nice, but the hasp to the clasp is missing.

Size: The image is 3 ¼ by 4 ¼ inches. The case is 3 ½ by 4 ¾ inches, and ¾ inches thick.

Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
