An interesting and unusual cased lithograph by Endicot & Co. of the Naval Bombardment of Fort Fisher, North Carolina in Jan. 1865. The lithograph depicts the Union Fleet surrounding and firing on the “Gibraltar of the South.” It is contained in what appears to have been a leather daguerreotype case with glass. Dimensions: 5 5/8 by 4 ¼ by ½ inch in the case when closed. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Condition:
Very good, somewhat faded, but the body of the lithograph remains clear. The leather case is excellent.
