J.P. Clabrough & Bros. Laminated Steel 12 Gauge Double barreled Shotgun

A fine cartridge double barreled shotgun by J.P. Clabrough, London, with a beautifully checkered stock with pistol grip, a silver escutcheon plate on the underside of the butt, and handsome engraving on the lock and at the breech. The gun is serial numbered 18780, dating the gun to 1883. This gun is both photo illustrated and discussed in Mr. Shelton’ fine book on Clabrough. Dimensions: 46.75 inches long overall, with 30 inch barrels. Processing and shipping within in the Continental U.S. $80.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

 

Condition:

Very good condition overall, with traces of a deep blue finish. The stock is excellent with fine deep checkering at wrist and on forend. The bores are very good. The actions are a little sticky, but function well.
