J.P. Clabrough & Bros. 10 Gauge Double-barreled Outside Hammer Shotgun

A very fine Clabrough, London laminated steel barreled shotgun, made in 1881. The locks and breech are handsomely engraved, and the barrels have a beautiful Damascus twist pattern. The serial number, 13968 is on the trigger guard. The barrel rib has, :”J.P. Clabrough & Bros. London, Laminated Steel” engraved on it, and both locks have “J.P. Clabrough & Bros.” handsomely engraved on scrolls. The stock has checkering on the pistol grip and forend, and there is a small escutcheon plate on the underside of the forend. The gun is from the collection of Mr. Shelton, author of J.P. Clabrough, Birmingham Gunmaker. Dimensions: The gun is 47 inches long overall, with 30 inch barrels. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 

 

 

Condition:

About excellent overall, with especially fine Damascus pattern on the barrels.
