Handwritten on Vellum Dealing with Baptism circa 1200 a.d.

A handwritten on vellum dealing with baptism, circa 1200 a.d. This is an interesting smaller document, probably from a religious text. This page includes the word, "baptiste" a number of times, both front and back. Both red and black ink were used, and a number of capital letters have been colored. It has been suggested that the text refers to John the Baptist, but the frequency of the word baptist, not capitalized, suggests that it refers to baptism. Dimensions: 8" x 5.25". Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Very good condition and quite legible, with a few insect holes and other small holes from binding. The ink on the front is slightly faded, but is still quite legible. Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
