Gold Quartz Watch and Chain

Waltham 14k gold and gold quartz, watch, chain and fob, circa 1900-1913. Case: hunters case, 14k yellow and rose gold with partitioned gold quartz back centered by a domed crystal containing gold nuggets, 16 size, 4 mm, jeweler decorated edge and lid with a spiral star design, monogramed "CM". Case with matching numbers throughout, 19543.

Dial: enamel, Roman numerals, red five minute numerals, sub seconds, blue spade hands

Movement: nickel, # 10041232, Bridge plate, 17 jewels, pendent setting.

Signed: movement signed, Waltham and dial signed A.W. Co. Waltham, case signed Illinois Watch Co. A.W.Co. with customized jeweler work likely being done in San Francisco.

Total gross weight: 110.5 grams.

Chain: 14 14 inch chain with 6 double sided gold quartz links, 46.1 grams.

Fob: 5/8" in diameter and doubles as a locket. It's decorated with a gold quartz crescent moon and a diamond set five-point star symbolizing power and femininity. The back engraved, "Nina to Chris / March 30, 1913". The first initial of the recipient Chris is consistent with the case monogram, "CM". The interior of the locket/fob marked, R14KH" 10.2 grams.

Condition:

Watch is not running. The case and fob are excellent original. The chain is fine original. All with no apparent damage or restoration under ultra-violate light.
