Fine Double Barreled Percussion Shotgun by Blakemore & Son
A very fine percussion double barreled 12 gauge shotgun by Blakemore & Son, probably of Birmingham, serial numbered 446. This is an extremely fine shotgun, incredibly light and well-balanced, with fine banknote style engraving on the locks and mounts. There are gold bands at the breech, and the barrels have a beautiful Damascus pattern on them. The stock is straight, with very handsome grain. The wrist and forend have fine, deep checkering on them, and there is a silver escutcheon plate on the top of the wrist. The gun has two sling swivels and a brass tipped ramrod. Dimensions: 45 inches long overall, with 29.25 inch barrels. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $65.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
