Ferdinand Preiss (1882-1943) cold painted parcel gilt bronze sculpture, "Spring Awakening" on octagonal marble base. Allegorical female figure with orange drapery flowing from her outstretched arms. Signed at base of cloth, "F. Preiss". Circa 1925. Dimensions: (sculpture) 10.25"h; (overall) 14.25"h. Provenance: Estate of William B. Ruger, Jr. Preiss was a German artist best known for his intricately carved Art Deco sculptures. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $45.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.

Condition:

Robe appears orange with gold. Minor surface crack over top of right breast.
