FAMILY DOG #3 (4)

Four (4) FAMILY DOG/AVALON Handbills. The first, a brilliant blue and pink Taj Mahal is set off against an orange sky filled with tiny stars, in front of which stands the Family Dog Indian in a top hat, carrying what looks for all intents to be a motorcycle helmet; the reflecting pool spelling out "Charles Lloyd Quartet/ The West Coast Natural Gas Co./Dance Concert/Tripping West to East", the design by Fried; on the second, the Statue of Liberty is silhouetted against a red sky with orange letters promising Blood, Sweat, and Tears, John Handy, and Son House; the third shows an updated version of Whistler's famous Mother, with a' groovie' chick in a rocking chair replacing mother, while smiling at a picture of the Family Dog Indian, who carries a card that reads, "My Card, Mam"... whilst an unusually convoluted text proves all but illegible, save for the Sutter Street location and the dates (but is none-the-less striking, printed in bright colors against a black back-ground); the fourth has vintage photo of a studious young man sitting at a desk with his inkwell and pen, while the poster reads, "HEAVY" and promises Country Joe and the Fish, the Charlatans, and Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks", all rendered in scarlet and yellow on a black ground. In fine original condition (tho the 'Liberty' card has a scrunched lower corner)

Processing and shipping within the Continental United States $2.00, plus 1.5% replacement cost/insurance.
