Erté and his work enjoyed an enormous revival in the early 1970s, when a critical monograph of his work was printed, this as part of the renewed interest in the period we now know as "Art Deco". This revival occasioned a series of limited editions of new work in many media, all inspired by the style of his hey-day, and now much collected.
