Elgin Three Colored 14k Gold Floral Pocket Watch 1903

A beautifully hunter cased Elgin Model 9, with its 14 karat fine gold case decorated in three different colors of gold. The action has a 21 jewel movement, with screw set ruby in gold cups, and was number 67 of 87 of this model produced. It is serial number 9625977, grade 274, Model 9.. It is 3/4 plate and has a seconds sub-dial. It is in excellent running condition, and keeps accurate time. The design on the outer case is centered around a wreath of flowers in various shades of gold, with a large and heavily engraved escutcheon in the center on one side, and an eight-pointed star on the other, The base covering the hinges is substantial, and is even more heavily engraved. This is a stem-wind Railroad Grade watch Class 3 with a Breguet hairspring. A substantial and elegant watch that is beautifully enhanced with 14k gold.

Total weight: 151 grams. Size: 18s. Face: 1.8 inches. Case: 2.2 inches tall, not including stem, 1.1 wide, .68 inches thick.
