Al Capone's 18k Yellow Gold and Platinum Belt Buckle

Al Capone's 18k and platinum belt buckle. Reverse marked, "Acme Brand" 18K & Plat'N" and fitted with knob fitted loop and hook catches, the rectangular face decorated with keystone shaped bezels and squared off corner, the edges tick engraved. Late 1920s-early 1930s.

Provenance: Al and Mae Capone to Sonny Capone to his daughters. Per oral tradition Barbara and Diane Capone, the buckle was originally diamond mounted with four round brilliant stones, all later removed and presented to each of the four granddaughters to make rings.
