1873 Winchester Rifle with Slotterbek Telescopic Sight

A superb 1873 Winchester Rifle in .44 caliber serial number 225032 B, manufactured in 1887, and mounted with a Charles Slotterbek of Lakeport, California telescopic sight. The rifle has a straight stock, octagonal barrel, and retains much original finish and case hardening.  It retains the original dust cover. The telescopic sight appears to have been installed by Mr. Slotterbek in his shop in Lakeport. It has the maker’s name on the tang mount. . Dimensions: 46.5 inches long overall, with the barrel being 28 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $75.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. 



The rifle is in very fine condition, and retains a lot of original finish and case hardening. It has recently acquired some light rust frosting in spots, and the action of the trigger has become quite stiff. The sight is excellent, and the bore shows good rifling with a light coat of rust. The stock is excellent.
