Manuscript Pages circa 1050 a.d., on Vellum, of Psalms 77 & 78, with Latin Glosses

A folded single sheet copy of Psalms 77 and 78, on fine vellum, beautifully handwritten, with Latin flosses to the sides. Probably from a monastery shortly before Norman Conquest.  Dimensions: As folded, 8.75 by 7.625 inches.  Processing and shipping in the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.   


A section of one page is missing, entailing about 20% of the document.  The edges are somewhat ragged, and there are minor insect, pin and staple holes.  The ink in some of the glosses is somewhat faded.   Witherell's strives to provide as much information and photographs as possible but encourages in-person inspection by bidders.
